Confronted by accusations that he was reviving a form of McCarthyism – plus the suggestion that his defense decades ago of Irish Republican Army terrorists opened him to charges of hypocrisy – Rep. Peter King persisted on March 10 and kicked off a series of congressional hearings on radicalization within the Muslim-American community.
